Getting ready for the window display!!!

I am setting up the window display tonight for my show on Saturday. Here are a few thing in the works....

 I'm making some bright hoops to hang out of vintage scarfs.

I'm using my scraps to make some garlands to add some pops of color to the display.

I've also been making some pillows and stuffed animals to add in there.

Spring Pop-Up Shop

Sorry I haven't blogged recently, I have been getting ready for my upcoming show May 3rd at Venus on the Half Shell. Here is a sneak peak of what I have been up to!

This is one of my new dresses in the works. I used vintage fabric for this cute summer piece. 

I'm working on a lot of different style cropped tops for the show. The top one is an off the shoulder made out of a vintage He-Man sheet. The bottom is a funnel neckline made out of a vintage inspired floral print.

I've been making a few sweet heart neckline summer dresses. The top is a mid calf length and the bottom is a maxi. I used vintage fabric for the top dress and the orange skirt on the bottom is from India, my friend Jen brought that back for me :)

And of course there will be more yo yo garlands and hanging crotcheted lanterns. Make sure you make it out to my show May 3rd, I hope you enjoyed the sneak peak!!

Wednesdays with Harper

Today I spent another Wednesday with Harper! I love my little niece so much!!! Here's what I was up to while watching her.

I'm getting ready for my show in May and am making some Fourth of July lanterns.

I was able to do some hand sewing while Harper napped. What a cutie.

Here is a an outfit I had her model last week. I'm going to do a photo shoot next week with her in this one again but also with a headband.

This is a new jumpsuit I made.

Spring is coming! Time to get to work!

Spring is on it's way and I have an upcoming show May 3rd at Venus on the Half Shell, so it is time I finish some projects and get some serious work done!!!

Here is a sneak peak of some frames I am making for wall art at my show.

I'm working on lots more kids dresses with matching bloomers and headbands. I'll have more to show on my next Wednesdays with Harper post :)

I also want to make a bunch more skirts, crop tops and dresses for this show.

Wednesdays with Harper

I'm helping my sister out and watching her cute as a button daughter Harper on Wednesdays while she is at work.  Harper just turned one in January and is the perfect model for some of my baby clothes! My goal is to have a new outfit for her to model every week. 

Here she is in one of my yo-yo headbands. I had to use this plastic cup to distract her for a photo! Taking pictures of babies can be tricky :)

Getting ready for Spring!

I'm sick of the snow and am ready for Spring to come! I am doing another pop-up shop in May at Venus on the Half Shell, and am starting to work on some pieces!

Here is a gathered polka dot skirt.

And a crop top to go with.

I love this fabric! It's a vintage sheet my friend gave me. I have enough to make a crop top and a dress.

Inspiration

Well they are planning on more snow this week. I'm picking out some inspiration to have some productive projects while I am snowed in!

I see this style a lot, with just a little skin exposure. It has a 40's feel with a modern twist. I'm thinking that I want to design a fun midriff dress for this summer.

I'm always inspired my high waisted swim suits! I definitely  want to make some shorts and skirts for my next show!

If I'm stuck out on the farm and just want to watch a movie, I'm going to try and practice some hand stitching! This one is so cute!

Pillows, pillows, pillows!!! I love pillows. My goal is to learn how to do this smocking and make huge floor pillows!!!

A lot of inspiration!!! Now if I can get started on a few of these while I am snowed in that will be great! Wish me luck!!!
